Presentations
Please follow the guidelines below in your presentations:

💡 1. Presentations will be made in accordance with the table given below. Every late week has a penalty of 25%. (Except for a physician's report.)
2. Presentations should be done in 10 minutes. At the end of 10 minutes. no extra time will be given.
3. Consider the importance and impact of the person who you are going to present in the social and political life of the United States. Focus on their personal contributions and general impact in the United States.
4. You are advised to use visual items (photos, pictures, videos etc.) in your presentations. You do not have to use slides in your presentation but if you do, please do not include long sentences and paragraphs. Short titles and main points supported by visual elements are highly recommended.
5. Since your time is limited, you are advised to have a rehearsal before the presentation, in order to check the time limit.

Political Novel Analysis
Please follow the guidelines below in your analysis:
- Political novel analysis is not a summary of the novel. You should not write a summary of book's characters, its topic or its contents.
- Political novel analysis should be a critical investigation of the main characters, themes and topic by connecting them to the contents of the course.
- Your analysis should focus on novel's political, socio-economic and ideological aspects and critically analyze them.
- You should have an introduction, main paragraphs and a conclusion in the paper. You could include short sub-headings in line with your analysis.
- You should send your Word document as a .docx or .odt file. Files like .rtf will not be accepted. The file name should include your name, last name, novel's name.
- You could use serif typefaces like Times New Roman, Constantia or Georgia at 12pt. Use single line spacing and have 150-200 words paragraphs.
- The main text of the analysis (excluding the bibliography) should be less than 1000 words. The text could be longer but not longer than 2000 words. If you have references, please use Chicago Notes & Bibliography system.
- After completing the political novel analysis, send it to [email protected] as a file attachment. Don't forget to include your full name, student number and department in the email text.
